@JillBJarvis is a Houston blogger that focuses on what to do to entertain the kids while being in Houston.
Whether you are brand new to Houston, just visiting, or have been here for years, Jill has tons of ideas on her blog: www.jillbjarvis.com
Below are some of her top recommendations.
Go to Hermann Park
Once you’re there, you can play on the playground, splash in the water, tour the gardens, walk the trails, visit the zoo, ride the train, rent a pedal boat, visit a museum or jump on METROrail to go downtown.
Downtown Adventures
Head to Discovery Green for the playground, splash pads, listening vessels and for lots of free events. Eat at Phoenicia and then see how much art you can spot at Main Street Square.
Levy Park
Splash and play… and grab books and games to play at the tables or try table tennis and foosball. Stick around for lots of free classes and activities.
Something Not-So-Usual?
Feed the mounted patrol horses, watch hundreds of thousands of bats emerge at the Waugh Street Bridge, tour the Art Cart Museum or find the mysterious red button in Downtown Houston.
